Experience the Treetop Skywalk
The Treetop Skywalk is a must, not only because it’s included in your general admission ticket, but also because it’s one of the most unique experiences you won’t find anywhere else! Suspended 50- to 60 feet in the air, the bridges span 880 feet through the trees, enveloping you in the serene nature of the forest. You’ll be able to catch glimpses of the wildlife, and you just might see a bear roaming the forest floor below!
Enjoy a thrill at the Dueling Zipline Adventure
Adventurous thrillseekers will definitely want to go on a zipline! You can fly through the trees side by side with family or friends. Even first-timers will have a blast due to our careful and trained staff. While reservations for this activity are not required, they’re encouraged for the best experience. A few other things to note:
- Not included in general admission tickets
- Must be 7 years old and at least 70 pounds to participate.
- Those under 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
- Closed-toe shoes are required (no Crocs or Chacos!)
Grab a sweet treat from Mimi's
There are several snack options at Anakeesta, but we recommend grabbing a sweet treat from Mimi’s Creamery! Famous for its homemade fried pies, this shop will satisfy any sweet tooth. They also serve Bluebell ice cream and their brownie sundae is out of this world good! If you’re looking for something more substantial or lunch options, check out a visitor favorite– Tennessee Sidecar’s walking taco!
Observe the views from Anavista Tower
Your cabin near Anakeeta might have great mountain views, but the stunning 360-degree views of the Smoky Mountains and downtown Gatlinburg’s tallest point– heading up to the Anavista Tower is a no-brainer! Surrounded by a lush botanical garden, this tower is a peaceful spot for admiring the beautiful scenery. Walking through the Vista Gardens during spring and summer with everything in bloom– there’s nothing like it.
Ride Anakeesta’s mountain coasters
Don’t miss out on riding one or both of these incredible mountain coasters during your visit to Anakeesta. A Coaster Pass is required and gives you access to both The Hellbender, which winds through over 3,300 feet and reaches speeds of up to 25 mp, and the Rail Runner, a single rail coaster that’s the first of its kind in the U.S. If you’re wondering what to do at Anakeesta, let this one activity be the thing you prioritize!
