The Jacks Are Back: Paula Deen’s Lumberjack Feud Arriving in Pigeon Forge

May 24, 2018

If you’ve been missing Pigeon Forge’s Lumberjack Feud, we’ve got some great news for you! The classic show is being revived by celebrity chef Paula Deen at a brand new outdoor theater on the Parkway. This summer, world-class lumberjack athletes will once again dazzle audiences with incredible logging stunts and competitions. Best of all, the show will feature a number of new additions that the whole family is sure to love. To help you make the most of your next vacation, Heritage Cabin Rentals has put together a guide to everything you need to know about Paula Deen’s Lumberjack Feud.

Brief History of the Lumberjack Feud

When the original Lumberjack Feud opened in 2011 it was an immediate success. Featuring two teams of ESPN lumberjack athletes, the Dawson family and the McGraw family, the thrilling show included a number of traditional logging events, such as tree climbing, ax swinging, chainsaw carving, and log rolling.

In 2015, country singer and entrepreneur Dolly Parton acquired the Lumberjack Feud and renamed it Dolly Parton’s Lumberjack Adventure. This short-lived show featured more aerial feats, acrobatics, and special effects, rather than classic logging competitions. Ultimately, Dolly and her team decided to scrap the lumberjack theme and completely redesign the show in 2017. Today, the old Lumberjack Feud theater is home to Dolly Parton’s Celebration at Smoky Mountain Adventures.

New Outdoor Theater

Paula Deen’s Lumberjack Feud is going to take place at a brand new outdoor theater located in the Walden’s Landing shopping complex on the Pigeon Forge Parkway. This 350-seat venue will be covered and climate-controlled, so shows can be held from the spring through December, even if it’s raining.
