There are several awesome attractions near our cabins where you can enjoy some tubing action, including a unique indoor facility where you can go snow tubing all year long! These attractions are suitable for the entire family, so bring the whole gang along for the adventure! Here are 3 fun tubing attractions in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg you need to experience this winter:
1. Ober Gatlinburg
Ober Gatlinburg is the premier winter sports destination in the Smoky Mountains as it not only features snow tubing, but an entire mountain for skiing and snowboarding! The snow tubing park offers a whole hillside of tubing runs, making it easy to race your family and friends to the bottom! You don’t even have to walk back to the top of the hill after each run! Just take the Magic Carpet outdoor escalator to the top and get ready for more tubing action. The snow tubing sessions at Ober Gatlinburg are each 90 minutes and it is recommended that sessions are reserved in advance, especially on weekends and during holiday periods.
2. Pigeon Forge Snow
Another one of the fun tubing attractions in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg you need to experience this winter is Pigeon Forge Snow! This is an indoor snow tubing facility that features real snow that never melts away, which is especially impressive since it is always between 60 and 70 degrees inside of the building! The facility also features a huge Snow Play area where kids can build snowmen and snow forts! There is no need to make a reservation at Pigeon Forge Snow, so just show up when you are ready to begin your adventure. If you just want to see your kids having a blast, you will appreciate that there is no entrance fee so you can watch the kids tube for free!
3. Rowdy Bear Ridge
Rowdy Bear Ridge offers a unique tubing hill that doesn’t involve snow at all, but the thrill level is just the same! The tubing hill is more than 500 feet in length and features a 70-foot drop where you can reach speeds more than 35 miles per hour! Start the fun by choosing any color tube and then head over to the magic carpet conveyor for a ride to the top of the hill. Once at the peak, choose your tubing lane for a single ride down the mountain or connect up to 3 tubes for a truly amazing experience! This attraction operates both during the day and at night, so enjoy some of the daylight rides and come back in the evening when the hill is lit up with chasing LED lights!
