Have you completed the Rocky Top Wine Trail in Pigeon Forge and want to find more Smoky Mountain wineries to explore? Wine tastings are easily one of the best romantic things to do in Gatlinburg, so take the short drive to Gatlinburg and check out another wine trail and some of the best wineries in Gatlinburg:
Tennessee Homemade Wines
The #1 winery in Tennessee and one of the great locations along the Gatlinburg Wine Trail– Tennessee Homemade Wines is a must-stop for all wine lovers. They have sweet fruit wines, hard ciders, wine slush mixes, and mulling spices. A few of their top unique flavors include Blueberry Bammer, Cotton Candy, Mountain Latte, and their Great Niagra blend.
Old Mountain Wine Company
One of the newer locations in Gatlinburg, Old Mountain Wine Company is also part of the wine trail. It’s located towards the end of the downtown strip near the entrance to Great Smoky Mountains National Park and is one of the only Gatlinburg wineries with both indoor and outdoor seating areas. Their white Muscadine wine and Moscato blend are a couple of our favorites!
Smokin Banjo
Another new stop along the Gatlinburg wine trail is Smokin Banjo, an eclectic winery known for its unconventional flavors, including sparkling wines like pomegranate, passion fruit, and peach. Their Wicked Grape wine is delicious, and if you’re feeling adventurous, we recommend trying the Sweet Heat, a bold hard cider with raspberry juice infused with a unique pepper blend!
Bootlegger’s Homemade Wine
Bootlegger’s Homemade Wine is one of the most unique wineries in Gatlinburg. Why? They bottle each small batch by hand– no fancy equipment to be found. You’ll find the finest homegrown Appalachian wines here! Homegrown Scuppernong is a sweet and mellow white wine with an apple-pear finish, and you’ll also love their Strawberry Wine with fresh strawberry juice that will blow your mind. Also, they have seasonal holiday wines that you’ll definitely want to try if you’re in town when these blended are available!
Smoky Mountain Winery
Even though Smoky Mountain Winery is one of the oldest wineries in Gatlinburg TN, it’s somewhat of a hidden gem. Located in Winery Square off of Hwy 321, this winery has all different types of award-winning wines for every palate. Their tasting room and gift shop offer a unique winery experience you won’t want to skip!
Gatlinburg Winery
Gatlinburg Winery has a couple of locations on the downtown strip, most well-known for its original cotton candy wine, a unique blush blend you have to try. A couple more flavors we recommend include the Mountaingria (a white wine with notes of peach, mango, and lemon), Bearly Blushing (a muscadine rose), and Mystic Moonlight (a Moscato with hints of honeysuckle).
