Smoky Mountain Wedding Information
Combine a picturesque wedding chapel in the Smokies with the relatively minor requirements for getting married, and you understand why a Smoky Mountain wedding and honeymoon is second in popularity only to Las Vegas. Couples can be joined in holy matrimony in a chapel, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, or in the privacy of their cabin rental. Our reservations team would love to help you find the perfect cabin that doubles as your wedding venue and place to stay with room for all of your family and friends. Or, we can assist you with booking a cozy honeymoon cabin for your well-deserved mountain getaway!
Both parties must be present to obtain the marriage license from one of the County Clerk’s Marriage License Centers (see below). No waiting period, appointment, or blood test is necessary in order to obtain the license. Proof of age is required by a driver’s license, state-issued photo ID card, military ID, or passport. The clerk will also ask for your SS# (not your card) and if you have been divorced, the date your divorce was final (you do not have to bring your divorce papers). If there was a name change in the divorce that has not yet been updated on the driver’s license, you will need to provide a certified copy of the divorce decree. Once your license is issued, it is valid for 30 days, and if you pay with a credit card, a small processing fee will be added.
